Episode 9 - My Dirty Secret
December 11, 2003

Elliot embarrasses herself once again when her pelvic exam causes a patient to have an orgasm. J.D. teases her, milking it for all that it's worth. Later, when Elliot uses kiddy words when describing a penis, she realizes that she may be a little sexually repressed. Carla tries to educate her on the proper words by showing her an adult magazine. The gesture makes Elliot even more uncomfortable. But she finally accepts that she'll have to get over her shyness saying certain words, so she practices with Sean (Scott Foley).

Carla proposes to Turk that they don't have sex again until they get married in six months. She thinks it will be romantic to wait, he thinks she's crazy. She changes her mind about the six-month hiatus after everyone lists all of her faults. People used to be afraid to joke with or criticize Carla, but when she gave them permission to do it, they listed every major fault that she has. She returns to Turk's apartment depressed and needing sex.

J.D.'s patient, a very Waspy Hayes Randolph (Barry Bostwick), has been admitted for prostate cancer. He agrees to have surgery, but then changes his mind after his wife Catherine researches other alternatives and there's a chance it may effect his sexual performance.

Dr. Cox meanwhile, is overwhelmed with work and with the baby and Jordan. He actually opens up to J.D. about what's been going on, but it doesn't really help. He tries to tell Jordan how he's feeling but she kicks him out of their apartment. The only place he can crash is at J.D. and Turk's apartment. They were still awake because Turk couldn't sleep because he hadn't had sex in the last 18 hours.

Thinking that they may need some alone time, J.D. agrees to babysit while Cox and Jordan go off to have sex.

The only person not having sex is J.D., so he has to be content with watching late-night Cinemax.
