D.L. Hughley got his start in show business when he was given the honor of serving as the first host of BET's "Comic View." Shortly after, he received further acclaim with his two HBO adult-comedy specials. Hughley also starred as one of four outstanding comedians in the year 2000's "Original Kings of Comedy."

He is most recognized for his role as a father who comically rules the roof in the TV Series, "The Hughleys," which he both wrote and starred in for four years. His additional credits include roles in the feature films "Chasing Papi," due for release next year, "The Brothers" and "Inspector Gadget" as the voice of the Gadgetmobile. He is currently on the road performing his stand-up routine throughout the United States with the Latham Entertainment Presents Comedy Tour.
